if you have a site that i am currently asking permission to get into: i ask that you
would look at the galleries on my site to get a sense of who i am and what my work is
about. i respect these places tremendously, and i would like to preserve them for posterity.
it is well within your rights to do whatever with them that you wish, but i hope that you would
consider allowing me to photograph your location to include in this collection. i would ask
that you sign a release form allowing me to photograph on your property - in return i will
happily provide you with any form of documentation that i do not hold you liable
for any damage to my health or property that may occur as a result of taking photos on
your site. in addition i will gladly give you three photographs of your choice at the
soonest opportunity i am financially able to. if you are not interested in the photographs, i
will donate them to your local historical society in your name if you prefer. please consider
it. i am not a vandal or a thief, and i am very careful about what i do. please get in touch.
verification of ownership of the property is required. though i charge for the pictures i sell
on this site, i make no profits as the money goes back into gas, food, lodging, research,
web maintenance, and photography equipment to continue capturing and displaying these
places while i am able, before they are renovated or destroyed.

sites i have entered yet. i am currently starting this practice, and if you are the owner of a
site i have been in, please read the section above. everything there applies; i will gladly
give you a release and three photos in exchange for a signed waiver, provided i can verify

please forgive me. i do not mean you any disrespect and i truly live by the creed "take only
pictures, leave only footprints:. i do not disturb anything at the sites i am in, nor to i force
entry or cause damage of any kind. i believe very passionately in what i do, and i humbly
submit my photos as proof that the only reason i do this is out of love for the sites. i
apologize if i have offended you in any way. i would like to repay you in the only way i can
as i do not profit in any way whatever from this site and am already thousands of dollars of
operating expenses behind; even offering prints of photos is difficult for me to afford. i can't
change what i've done, but i hope this gesture of goodwill will help you consider my offer
above and remember that i love these places more than anything and would never do
anything to destroy them in any way. thank you for your time.
