if you are the owner of an abandoned property, please read this:

i ask that you would take a moment to look at the galleries on my site to get a sense of who i am and
what my work is about. i respect these places tremendously, and i would like to preserve them for
posterity. as such, i hope that you would consider allowing me to photograph your location(s) to
include in this collection and/or for eventual publication. i would ask that you sign a release form
allowing me to photograph on your property - in return i will happily provide you with any form
of documentation that i do not hold you liable for any damage to my health or property that may
occur as a result of taking photos on your site. in addition, when they are finished i will gladly give
you a dvd with medium resolution copies of the final pictures that you may use for your own
noncommercial purposes (i.e., you may not sell prints of them but may use the photos in
advertisements, before/after demonstrations, etc.). if you are not interested in the photographs, i will
donate them to your local historical society in your name if you prefer. please consider it. i am not a
vandal or a thief, and i am very careful about what i do. though i charge for the pictures i sell on this
site, i make no profits as the money goes back into gas, food, lodging, research, web maintenance,
and photography equipment to continue capturing and displaying these places while i am able, before
they are renovated or destroyed. there is no opportunity to change your mind once a site is gone,
which is why it is critical to photograph them while they are intact.
